If the confronts and the thrust of the really timeserving Raymond Shoddy fronting the BBC's self-justificatory and immoral 'newswatch' slot is any guide, the BBC is as shoddy as Raymond and should be scrapped...
This is another call for a thorough review of publicly paid for broadcasting outfit that serves in all intents and purposes as the state controlled broadcasting and media = meaning PROPAGANDA for the state and the status quo equivalent that would be found in what even the BBC immorally derides a totalitarian state.
For the second time in three days, the BBC mounted ‘Lauren Booth’ ‘as linked to Tony Blair’ as a ‘worthy’ commentator on the affairs of state! On Thursday, they had her do a morally ambivalent promotion job for the side business that Cherie ‘Booth’ ‘Blair’ had embarked on via Rupert Murdoch’s SUN and the Times.
It seems that the BBC is getting shoddier by ‘the event’.
The ‘event’ here is intended to imply and convey what Harold Macmillan meant by ‘events’ when he had reportedly said, ‘Events, dear boy, events’ [that made the difference....].
Whenever an ‘event’ is in the news of the day or of the week, the BBC agenda setters hastily add another example of their breach of the universal code of evidence and factual accuracy.
They rush in with a token that links - so they assume - the BBC to the ‘hear of’ the particular events!
So we suffered the spectacle of a barely articulate and barely significant ‘panellist’ Rachel Johnson, ‘sister’ of Boris Johnson, being flaunted on the David Dimbleby fronted Question Time on Thursday following the announcement of the result of the London elections for a ‘mayor in the name of the people of London’ and this last Thursday, self-respecting ‘viewers’ of the BBC TV slot had to pout up with the latest display of Lauren Booth, inappropriately described as ‘Writer and Broadcaster’, giving her own commercial in support of Cherie Booth ‘Blair’ as the ‘author’ and as the Liverpool working class girl who made it [to No 10 Downing Street] !
Lauren Booth should have been described as the ‘half-sister’ to Cherie Booth WHO HAD launched herself almost within days of the May 1997 UK generally election when Cherie Blair was able to arrive at No 10 Downing Street.
Lauren Booth might have existed as a ‘writer’ or as a ‘broadcaster’ Moore 2 May 1997 but she had not been noticed until the BBC and other broadcast and 'mainstream' media', later including [and in particular] the Mail on sunday decided to go into a subcontract with her ina miniature joint venture....
They were capitalising on the very tenuous and threadbare [in the context of society, politics, democracy and accountability] links that Lauren had with the Tony Blair regime just installed.
For ALL the past 11 years since Lauren Booth was mounted on the mainstream media abased on the alleged ‘half’ sibling relations with Cherie Blair,. lauren Booth had not made any contribution that objective commentators or observers of the ‘pair in power’ had not made.
In fact Lauren’s surfacing on the media has been measurable by the height or the level of media presence that has been attached to Cherie Booth ‘Blair’ over the years....
All the while, Lauren Booth has been allowed the media spots - and the not insignificant cash that has been placed into her direction including in the direction of her ‘place’ in ‘France’ on the most tenuous of evidential grounds.
This latest appearance today [Saturday 17 May 2008] when she talked to the BBC News Breakfast programme, was the most embarrassing. And inappropriate. She is evidently of the wrong view that Cherie Blair is ‘working class’, that she had not had much material possessions as a could etc....
And so she feels that on 17 May 2008, almost a year after Cherie had left the ‘official address’ of ‘Britain’s Prime Minister’ and two days after she was told [by another, sitting, ‘judge’] to resign as a ‘judge’ because she was bringing the ‘legal profession’ into disrepute by her ‘vulgar, obscene indulgences’ in publishing the most private of details about herself [so disgusting the spread of the public that even someone so lowly-esteemed in public as Graham Norton, was able to claim a ‘higher’ ground [in ‘taste’ if not in morality necessarily] as compared to Cherie Blair, as Norton showed on BBC TV on Friday night 16 May 2008].

Business calls for supplement rethink
By Jonathan Russell
Last Updated: 12:24am BST 16/05/2008
The Government is facing another tax row with the business community over plans outlined this week to make businesses pay for up to £5bn of local infrastructure projects.
Business groups including the CBI, the British Chambers of Commerce, British Retail Consortium and the Institute of Directors are calling on the Government to rethink the implementation of Business Rate Supplements.
David Frost, director general of the British Chambers of Commerce, said: "Businesses face a very tough economic environment... there is the potential for a lot of additional taxes such as road pricing, taxes on parking and now supplementary business rates. The public sector needs to wake up to the role business plays in supporting the economy, it cannot just keep raising taxes."
advertisement
The limited guidance revealed this week did little to allay fears that councils might use the new powers to boost general tax revenue rather than pay for specific schemes. The Government said it would allow councils to raise business rates, set at 46.2pc of rateable value for 2008/9, by two percentage points.
Last year the Institute for Public Policy Research calculated that the levy could cost businesses £350m a year, income used to pay for infrastructure projects worth about £5bn.
Businesses will have little or no control on how the money is spent. Business leaders want the Government to allow affected companies a vote on whether the tax should be levied and input on how the money is spent.
Tom Ironside, a policy expert at the British Retail Consortium, said: "This is potentially the biggest change to how local authorities raise money for 20 years. We are arguing for a strengthening of safeguards in the legislation. We want businesses to be allowed to vote on the implementation of the taxes and are looking for clarity on what schemes could use this kind of funding."
The only significant business organisation that is supporting Business Rate Supplements is London First, which represents companies in the capital. As the new levy will be used to pay for about a third of the cost of London's proposed new east-west rail link, Crossrail, the tax is crucial to the project's success.
London First says that as the new tax will be levied only on businesses with a rateable value of £50,000, it will effectively be restricted to London.
But with the growing number of extra local taxes on areas such as car parking, road pricing, the community and infrastructure levy, the majority of business groups are firmly opposed to the tax in its current form.
Institute of Directors director general Miles Templeman said: "The Government claims that it is in 'listening mode' yet the representations made by the IoD and others on Business Rates Supplement have been wholly ignored. These government plans are so damaging that an immediate rethink is required."

Gordon Brown must drop the cheap play of imitating the Muslim emperor!

Gordon Brown owes a hasty apology- for backing the sinking Crossrail scam
Why must Gordon Brown apologise?
For making up scenarios that are founded on weak ground.
His staged list of draft legislation is bound to be exposed sooner than he thinks.
And he must not imitate that Muslim emperor, either!
Not until the Muslim emperor's work has been truthfully assessed!
Grandstanding on 'major projects' 'infrastructure' etc. is almost akin to what a really cynical Tony Blair would approve of.
That sort of behaviour takes the rigour away and makes the 'emperor' [pretend or real] to look for substantial than the substance of his work.
Gordon Brown was wring to tag along with the sinking careerist Ken Livingstone and appear on a stage in canary Wharf with him, singing the praise of the sinking project CRASSrail.
Sinking because CRASSrail will sink more than a few £Billion of ordinary peoples' precious cash....
[Top be continued]
Quoting from the KHOODEELAAR! e-mail to the UK legislative House of Lords 'committee personnel' that were in place at 8 November 2007 when the Khoodeelaar! campaign organiser started the first of the constitutional law communications against the 'Crossrail Bill'.
In November 2007, the 'Crossrail Bill' was months away from being the formal subject of a formally active 'Select Committee' in the 'House of Lords. But preparations were being made at that stage.
In advance of those preparations, Khoodeelaar! accurately predicted the following:-
“
I hope that when the matter is eventually in the House of Lords, we shall not be obstructed or otherwise violated, diverted, frustrated or denied by any member of the committee staff or by anyone else involved, concerned or engaged.”

If ‘cost’, ‘cost-effectiveness’, ‘need’, ‘access’, ‘function’, ‘productivity’ ‘time and motion’ [and a thousand more words, phrases and concepts of daily application] mean anything they only ever do mean anything when they are found to be true.
That is why any of those has lasted.
When any word or phrase is found to be unsound, it goes out of circulation and its ‘use’ cannot be justified.
And so is the case with ‘transport’.
It cannot be right for anyone to equate a particular, seriously flawed scam to an entire area of human activity.
When I told [in a series of highly pub pcsied comemnts] Boris Johnson in September 2007 that he should show that he had higher morality than Ken Livingstone I meant that he must not do things like making the stupid comments that he has begun to make peddling Crossrail.
I know for a fact that Boris Johnson has NOT written ever about economics. Not really. Not ‘appreciably;y. seriously or ‘appreciably’ significantly.... He has not done so on most matters and issues that he will now have to get to understand and deal with.
If he can show that he understands transport in London then I will be the first to reasonably welcome that and shall go along with anyone who wants to allow him to say what is demonstrably relevant on the matter.
But he has not ‘become elected mayor in the name of London’ even two weeks, and he has been over-uttering for Crossrail.
It is a stupid thing to have done.
Crossrail is NOT transport.
Crossrail was NEVER transport.
Crossrail will not be transport.
The entire scheme is an excuse, a pretext, a cover for the Blairing regime that Gordoin Brown is looking for plausible-sounding pretexts to fund their colluders in Big Business.
The transport needs of and in London are a million miles way from the lying propaganda about CRASSrail hole plot.
Boris Johnson must find out enough about transport in London before making any utterances like the ones he has already made for the seriously flawed and the crassly conceived and the unconstitutionally promoted [through the UK Parliament] Crossrail hole scam...

This is easier said than realised.
Looking at Boris Johnson's contradictory statements about all sorts of issues already, Khoodeelaar! campaign against “Big Business-craved Crossrail hole plot” has today this statement to make to Boris Johnson:
If you think that the Tory opportunists and sleaze-baggers already visible on all parts of your entourage will not sink you, you could not be more wrong.
You have no duty to make stupid comments backing CRASSrail, Not yet anyway.

Mental slavery is the worst form of foolishness.. In Gordon Brown's case, it may become the fatal iceberg of all of Brown's imprudence......
By©Muhammad Haque
0325 Hrs GMT
London
Friday 16 May 2008
Mental slavery is the worst form of slavery, Gordon Brown.
And you must stop your own. And spare the rest of the world the contamination of your mental servitude.
Why is Gordon Brown repeating his mental servitude to the racist empire and the imperial relics?
When will this highly exposed man of prudence -clearly proven man of imprudence - learn that he will not last as anything by being a mental slave?
And is his propensity to mental servitude perhaps the certain clue as to why he gave in to the sub-racist bullying by his fellow egotist Ken Lyingstill Livingstone when Livingstone flaunted the City of London interests' lie that 'the world class financial city of London' was keeping the Scottish people practically alive?
Is Gordon Brown the worst mental slave in any office of state power in the western European hemisphere today?
If he is not one - a mental slave, that is - then perhaps his ‘roots’ should be examined, to determine whether he is a courier of a substantially similar malady that must have, in the 18th century of the Christian calendar, infected the population of what is ridiculously called ‘British’ by the massively confused Gordoin Brown!
For Gordon Brown is coming apart intellectually. It is almost like the Boris Johnson of the Ken Livingstone propaganda during the third term-seeking desperation of January 2008 to April 2008:- a figure of fun, a joker.
Only in Gordon Brown’s case, [and in the cases of quite a few of the lying propaganda assault by the careerist Livingstone] the image, the cartoon characterisation may be cruelly reversed! In the plural too.
To explain.
Whereas Ken Livingstone unfurled a banner calling Boris Johnson a joke and derided Johnson's’ bid to become the ‘elected mayor’ in the name of London as unworthy of the people of London, Johnson in fact did not do anything similarly offensive or overconfident.
Everyone that has been part of the corrupter Livingstone entourage as against Johnson, has been watching Johnson for the much expected [by the entourage] gaffes and errors.
Johnson has made none of those ones. In fact Johnson has begun to behave like a Tory in power would.
And that is one aspect that deserved serious attention. But it was the one that Livingstone and his lying, corrupted band left out of emphasis.
So far Johnson has failed to commit any of the jokes that Livingstone predicted, it may be that Johnson will stay the course and prove Livingstone to be the joker. Along with Gordon Brown who endorsed Livingstone beyond the call of reason. Or beyond the backing of evidence.
Not only that, Gordoin Brown may be exposed even more as being totally imprudent.
So much so that his pretence to be the 'personification' of financial and economic prudence may be his undoing. It has already begun. And that contradictory, intellectually incoherent, illogical, evidentially unfounded, insecure, defensive interview broadcast on the TODAY programme on Thursday 15 May 2008 may only be a pointer to the iceberg that may yet be found to have been the destination that the ‘political’ career of Gordon Brown was heading for..... All along...

Why did Janet Ludlow fail to join the Khoodeelaar! movement against the Crossrail hole-inviting clique on Tower Hamlets Council?
By©Muhammad Haque

Wednesday
14 May 2008
Khoodeelaar! observed how Lib Dems group leader on Tower Hamlets Council [upto the May 2006 council elections] Janet Ludlow wasted opportunities to identify with the community. She failed to join the community opposition to the corrupt clique on the Crossrail hole-inviting Tower Hamlets Council.
She did so apparently on 'advice' 'from reliable' sources 'within the community' including parts of the borough where the main targets of the Crossrail hole attacks were...
This was typical of the one remaining member of the 'Lib Dem coup' that had originally made its appearance on the Council at the 1986 local elections.
When the Lib dems eventually got defeated at the 1994 council elections in Tower Hamlets, the only one from the '[SDP-turned Lib De,s’] group in power' that was considered 'suitable' as 'leader' of the remaining ‘entity’ was of course Janet Ludlow....
None of the ‘others’ was ‘politically’ around after the Council elections [1994].
When they lost their council seats, they staged an almost collective exit from the scene in Tower Hamlets.
It was left to Janet Ludlow to carry on the Lib Dems banner.
That banner got weaker by the year.
There was none of the allegedly innovative ideas - of which one of the original group recently boasted in a rare appearance as letter writer to a local paper - and there was no rallying issue.
Uni the community campaign against the Crossrail hole attacks gave the group the ideal opportunity to show if they were genuinely with the community....
And what did the group do?
Time after time, Janet Ludlow claimed to be ‘critical’ of the controlling clique [she did not sue the two words,m there are the Khoodeelaar! campaign and the community description ] on Tower Hamlets Council for failing to allow the Lib Dems a place on a joint consultative forum that should have been set up about Crossrail and what Tower Hamlets Council was doing on Crossrail.
This was impractical, unrealistic, ignorant and totally diversionary.
The Khoodeelaar! campaign against the controlling clique's collusion with the Crossrail hole plot was AGAINST the controlling clique's policies. Those polices were well known to the campaigners. And we were making them known to others in the community, including to the ‘Opposition group’ on the Council as it was still ‘led’ by Janet Ludlow on Tower Hamlets Council. We did so on a daily basis.
If not even more frequently at times.
And we have been doing the diagnosis of the dire state of the CRASSrail on an even more frequent basis every day now, well into the fifth year of the campaign against the agenda of Crossrail hole and against the Crossrail hole Bill.
There is no trace of the ‘Lib Dems’ ‘group’ on Tower Hamlets Council being involved in opposing the Crossrail hole plot now.
I shall return to what is ‘happening with the Lib Dems group on Tower Hamlets Council’ now, after this part.
Back to the way Janet Ludlow allowed the controlling clique to carry on behaving in the Council as if there was no real sustained political opposition.
Of course there was bickering, gossip, whisper, smear.
There were loads of ‘bitchiness’ and bile.
But there was no significant, substantial sustained campaigning advocacy of a cohesive community position as against the misbehaving, misconducting controlling clique on the corrupt and the corrupting Council.
But then, what would Janet Ludlow know about constitutional campaign against corruption ?
For years, the ‘main’ Lib Dems who held power between May 1986 and May 1994, went out of their way to DISCOURAGE anyone in the borough who wanted to see an end to corruption via the Council.
There was no chance in the foreseeable future that the controlling clique would allow the Lib Dems to appear as their equals. Least of all on a matter like Crossrail that was deeply flawed and open to embarrassing exposures if the truth about the claque’s role in inviting the Crossrail hole the plot to the East End became known.
In other words the only forum that was going to create the legitimate and practical atmosphere that would force disclosure on what the Council clique was doing for Crossrail hole plot was the campaigning forum.
By the time the May 2006 coun cil election neared in January 2006, it was obvious that the only political movement worth the attention of the ‘ambitious’ wannabe councillors and such like in Tower Hamlets was taking place via Khoodeelaar!
I said so on 11 February 2006 when speaking about the movement. I said that Khodoeelaar! was not, [and it is not, almost 3 years later] a bureaucracy. It had no register of members. It had no sponsorship in cash. It is the expression of the democratic preferences of the community which is maintained by efforts dedicated entirely without any plans for or expectations of a career..for any involved individual campaigner.....
Khoodeelaar! exists for the defence of the community. In the widest rational and real sense of the word.
It is therefor open to all parties and all groups.

The political reach and impact of the Khoodeelaar! movement has been to encompass all concerned and it is a phenomenon that is unique in the history of community-based campaigns in the East End of London. To that too, I shall return in later parts of these commentaries
Apart from joining the Khoodeelaar! movement Janet Ludlow the former Lib Dem Group leader on Tower Hamlets Crossrail hole-inviting Council could exercise her interest in democracy on the floor of the Council.
At both, Janet Ludlow failed to make the mark. Both as ‘the official leader of the opposition on the Council’ as well as the leader of the ONLY numerical and therefore politically significant opposition group on the council at the time.
NOTWITHSTANDING displays of ‘extremely generous attitude’ to her as shown by the local ‘East London Idiotiser’ which would give her utterances more frequent and prominent coverage than the utterances would deserve in an objective context. Or on merit.
And who might have ‘advised’ Janet Ludlow against joining and being a part of the Khoodeelaar! movement?

Except the truly anti-social or the really vile and poisonous ...
