Muhammad Haque ethical commentary about ‘local’ elections in London and in the East End of London

After Louise Alexander’s resignation as a councillor for the Weavers ward in the East End Borough of Tower Hamlets Council cil.....

Tower HOPELESS Council is in a big mess.. It is in acute deficit... Dollops of cash injections by the corrupting regimes typified by the likes of the LDA have made no difference to the quality of service by the corporate bureaucratic local Tower Hamlets Council.....Although some newcomers, as ‘party political’ experimenters appearing - in all three, primary, senses of that word including PRETENDING - on the ‘local’s scene, are quite adept at stealing the community’s rights as well s some of our very own words and phrases - like ‘degeneration’ to mean the Council's ‘regeneration’ , without so much as acknowledging the true source or locus of the analysis, they are not making any impact on the electors.

Not in the way that they would ‘prefer’ to pretend!

They are clueless, as far as the voters and what the voters are bothered by...

The Lost Listers have shown contempt to the people in the borough over the past few years... How? By presumptuous parades of parasitical opportunism, little, petty, pocket-careerism.... All at the expense of the people in the Ward. In the borough.... They do not belong with the battling people on the estates.

Or with the people engaged in the struggle to keep their little spaces, hold to their little spaces where the ‘local’ corrupt Council is engaged in selling out to Big Business...........All across Tower Hamlets, the signs are writ large and clear: the Tories are poised for take over of a big chunk of this borough... or of what remains of the former Tower Hamlets...... In all senses of that phrase.... And although Weavers ward has not as yet seen a direct Tory arrival as a listed elected representative of the ward on the Council, it is only a matter of time before that does happen. In effect, if not in name.....

The ‘Weavers’ Ward, Tower Hamlets Council by-election, caused by the resignation of Louise Alexander [seen speaking at the Khoodeelaar! demonstration on 1 March 2006 in the picture above], has now taken place..

-----------
Muhammad Haque ethical commentary about ‘local’ elections in London and in the East End of London, 1755 Hrs GMT London Saturday 12 April 2008: The Crossrail hole-inviting Tower Hamlets Council controlling clique has failed to pass the motion saying ‘unequivocal No to Crossrail hole Bill’.. .. It is two years and 11 days since 1 March 2006. Then it was the ‘Tower Hamlets Council ‘election [that took place in May 2006].. Another 'London' local election atmosphere is in the air... Also a 'miniature' campaign is on in ‘Tower Hamlets’ to 'elect' a Tower Hamlets, 'Weavers'-ward [containing the Brick Lane Area, in part] councillor to fill the vacant seat created by the resignation [AADHIKARonline broke the story on the internet including on Indymedia UK: 7 March 2008] of Louise Alexander, seen in this KHOODEELAAR! PHOTO with the mouthpiece, as she addressed that Khoodeelaar! campaign demonstration outside the Tower Hamlets Council 'town hall' ['Mulberry Place' on Wednesday 1 March 2006]... Louise Alexander’s speech was significantly different from that given by the ‘then group leader’ on Tower Hamlets Council, Janet ludlow, who too spoke at the same demonstration... Now, why was that difference? And how is the ‘Weavers ward by-election’ OUTCOME, assuming there is a straightforward ‘election result’, going to make ANY difference? It is one thing to have a loud election ‘season’. It is entirely a different thing what happens when the ‘candidate’ whoever the given candidate is, takes their 'seat' [their 'position' and 'hopefully' the relevant 'career as elected councillor''''] .... In the run up to the 2006 council elections, Khoodeelaar! observed sets of crooks seeking election to the Council. Crooks that only the local community would know about... But the Blaired atmosphere that prevailed in March and April 20o6 was particularly additionally vitiated by the appearance of NEW SETS OF CROOKS posing as ‘leaders in the East End’ on the 'East London' 'horizon'.... The result was that local people got doubly cheated... As the past two years have shown..

“Professor’ Peter Henessey - installed in London’s ‘East End’ [address] at the Mile End Road [QMC] is one of contemporary imperialist propaganda operation’s’ more frequently platformed couriers. He is not the occupier of a moral seat. So he must not assume that he can justifiably expect to be teated as one. What he does best is propaganda for the core values of racism, Empire perpetuation and institutional corruption. Contrary to the commercial tags and subcultural myths that he covers himself with. He is NOT fit to lecture ..Gordon Brown or whoever is now the touted ‘successor’ at the official address at No 10 downing Street. That fitness has to be earned by Henessey after his expressly and repeatedly saying sorry in terms, in context and extensively for the lies that he peddles under the guise of the professorial pretence..... .Gordon Brown should ignore him and get back to telling the truth..Not denying his cabinet colleagues the right to make legitimate contribution on the economy or on any other aspect of society. Brown must get back to the principles of the movement that gave birth to the former Labour Party, now seriously Blaired and exposed to ben even more seriously imperilled by a Blairing revivalist pincer movement [launched today, Saturday 10 May 2008 via the Times and the 'Sun' newspapers] fronted and flaunted by Cherie Booth ‘Blair’ with a bit of help from Rupert Murdoch......
