We are inviting you as local Ward councillors for our streets to a meeting at 6.30 on Monday 27 October 2008 at 7-15 Greatorex Street London E1 5NF to discuss with us all the aspects of the “Crossrail” scheme. We have urgent and a very comprehensive series of Questions to put to you face to face.

Exactly 4 hours after I had written and posted the commentary ] [in verse] on Gordon Brown’s economic follies, Alan Duncan [MP] the Conservative shadow to Peter Mandelson’s UK Govt Department, appeared on the BBC TV news channel and spoke to Simon McCoy. The concluding words he said included the following:
“Gordon Brown has been very very boastful. He has been very arrogant. He spent a lot of money on project which won't be paid for 20 years.”
