Gordon Brown's competence as an economically able finance minister keeps being exposed as having been a myth! After the event. The exposure that is... Because when Brown was still in post at the UK Treasury, the suggestion was not effectively made.

But the Gordon Brown myth as a competent manager of the Uk economy was again brought to the for this week.

This happened on Wednesday this week when both the ‘main’ opposition parties’ raised questions about Gordon Brown during the 'presentation' made by the current fiancé Minster Alistair Darling in the UK House of Commons...

Both the Tory George Osborn and the Lib Democratic Vince Cable made the same point in essence. And as usual Vince Cable had an almost real point to make when he said that as finance minister it was Gordon Brown who got rid of thousands of staff in the Inland Revenue. the implication of Cable’s statement being that because of staff cuts there was the data security scandal that there was in the Inland Revenue...
